Bio- Renee Michaels
Renee is a filmmaker/Actress living in Bartlesville, OK. She has 20 years of film and theater experience combined.
In 2000, She completed her first feature length screenplay, “Soiled Doves” and produced her first
short “Edges”. Her second short, “Blue Skies” quickly followed.
In 2001, Renee and her family moved to Chiang Mai, Thailand. During that time, she volunteered as the Artistic
Director at Grace International School, directing six of the schools high school stage productions.
She worked on the films, “Beyond Borders” with Angelina Jolie, “Sniper 3” with Tom Berenger,
and a popular Thai movie called “Jaew”, as well as the long running British
TV show, “Auf Wiedersehen, Pet”. She also starred in “Falling”, a student short and
“Farang Kee Nok” , a Bangkok IndieClub production.
In 2004, she collaborated with Zvonimir Miksic, from Croatia, and Roberto Jabor, from Brazil, to produce “RGB:
Red, Green, Blue”. Which screened at the New York Film and Video Festival.
Renee taught drama and filmmaking to teens. And is co-founder/Artistic Director of Xtreme Teenz Television,
which is a club for teens that are interested in learning how to produce television shows and films.
Since returning to the US, she is starring in Darkwood Motion Pictures, “Sacred Bloods” as Illyana
and “The Long, Dark Way” a Tall Chick Productions film. And has just finished her second feature length screenplay,
“The Death of Kevin Frye”, an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Coleen Hambrick of Bartlesville, OK.
If that isn’t keeping her busy enough, she leads filmmaking boot camps for teens and is working on a US chapter of Xtreme
Teenz Television club in Bartlesville.
