Michael Wright is the Director of the Interdisciplinary
Program of Creative Writing at the University of Tulsa, where he teaches playwrighting, screenwriting, adaptation and filmmaking.
He is the founder and moderator of the Fictional Characters
Writers Collective and co-representatice from the U.S. to World Interplay.
His books include the recently published
PLAYWRIGHTING AT WORK AND PLAY; DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAMS AND THEIR PROCESSES. His
plays, poems, fiction, and photography have appeared in the Elvis Monologues, Scenes and Monologues for Mature Actor, Monologues
from the Road, Rio Grande Review, and Voces Fronterizas, among others.
His short stories won first place in the Moondance Film
Festival in 2004 & 2005. Michael participated in the Screenwriting panel
at Script-2-Screen Film Festival 2005.
