Unmasking the Pain Within

You never know what is hidden under a beautiful mask. On the outside, this family appeared to have the American dream…but behind the doors of the eight-acre estate were broken promises, lies, and deception.

Patty was a devoted wife and loving mother of three that kept the pain within from her children and hid the shame of abuse from the small town they lived in and where her husband had grown up. Through her courage and spiritual guidance she maintained a convincing mask of peace for the world to see.

Arnold was a handsome, athletic man with a charming but deceiving personality. Few, including Patty, had seen Arnold’s darker side—a cross between a con man and a sociopathic manipulator with uncontrollable behavior.

Together, they built a multi-million dollar cable TV construction business. But it wasn’t until their business began to crumble that Patty learned of Arnold’s hunger for money, lust for women, and the trail of fraud and embezzlement. With deception and manipulation, he increased her life insurance policy. He put into action a scheme to poison her and planned a fatal accident in the Colorado Mountains.

This is a true story about an abusive seventeen-year marriage and how Unmasking the Pain Within helped one woman overcome the fear, shame, and challenges that were holding her back from living a life of hope and happiness.

Patty McCall is a native of Oklahoma.  She worked for a financial institution for ten years as a supervisor in customer service and marketing. A loving mom of three, Patty devoted much of her time as a Home Room Mom, PTA member, and Cheerleading sponsor.

As the owner of a clothing boutique she became involved with the Chamber of Commerce, which led to coordinating fashion shows, becoming a Director for the Miss Fall Festival, a National Talent Judge, and a Board Member for the Miss Oklahoma Pageant. She also participated in the Mrs. Oklahoma Pageant and reigned as Mrs. Wagoner County.

Patty and her daughters were naturals in all aspects of the film industry; from print to commercials and theatre to modeling. This natural ability led her to a new career as the owner of McCall Talent Agency located in Muskogee, Oklahoma. In 2004, Patty relocated to California to become an Assistant Director for the Young Actors Camp. She is a teacher and production coordinator for Joey Travolta’s Short Film Camp for Children and an acting coach for children at the Dedicated Talent Agency. She has also worked as a TV host for “Hollywood Weekly” and “Blonde Talk Now.”

Currently, Patty is involved with the organization, “Milphworld” which stands for Mothers, In Life, Passion and Health. She continues to follow her passion for performing with various supporting roles in television series and films, such as “Montana Amazon,” being released in 2009.

In 2009, Patty and Co-Producer Lisa Vombrack formed the P.A.I.N. Foundation (Preventing Abuse In Neighborhoods) to address the issue of Domestic Violence using Films to get the message across.  The first PAIN Foundation Film Award was presented to Jessica Powers (Memphis, TN)for her short film "Frayed" at the 10th Annual Bare Bones International Film & Music Festival in Muskogee, OK in April.  The organization plans to expand their concept to youth in the coming months to address issues such as Dating Violence and Child Abuse.
